Founded by German immigrants in 1755, Zion continually provided a safe harbor for large waves of German immigrants. By 1910, 45% of Baltimore’s population was German or had German parentage.
Zion continues to celebrate Lutheran worship services in German each Sunday at 9:15 am and in English at 11:15 am. Additionally, they offer a Midweek Prayer service at 12:20 pm in their lovely 1805 sanctuary.
Beautiful stained glass windows are displayed throughout both the sanctuary and the community building - also known as the Adlersaal.
